Main objective and tasks

• Assist Information Management Officer in creating and modifying forms on tablets and on google drive in line with international and donor standards.
• Assist in retrieving, modifying, and updating databases from Kobo server.
• Storing, categorising, and maintaining databases.
• Ensures data protection both hard and soft copies; drafts and ensures appropriate means of verification for each of the activity conducted as per workplan.
• Assist in compiling and aggregating information elements required to produce standardized information products and implement data/information collection plans for baseline and context specific data.
• Support the operation in the analysis of processed data and information and perform data quality and consistency control.
• Follow up of the use of monitoring tools by protection assessment staff.
• Support in the training the protection staff on the use of monitoring tools and how to correctly enter, and where necessary make training plans to ensure the correct use of the monitoring tools.
• Check and verify data quality and accurate reporting from the field level to the Data Unit focusing on clarity, accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Assist the Information Management Officer in preparing the monthly/weekly protection report, new data bases, new forms, and databases for the different sub-sectors to the project.
• Perform other related duties as identified by supervisor.

Educational and professional experience required

• University degree or technical degree in Business Administration or Business Management, Economics, Information Technology, Statistics or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years relevant professional experience preferably in the humanitarian sector

Desirable competencies and qualifications

• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, outlook)
• Capacity to analyze data and trend and to elaborate on graphs, charts, maps
• Good level of numeracy.
• Previous experience in the use of Kobo Collect is an asset
• Adaptability and readiness to carry out numerous field trips

Languages

English and Pidgin

Knowledge of French (written and spoken) is an asset
