Location: Bertoua, Cameroon (with regular travel to project sites)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Direct Reports: Partner School Heads (3 initial co-owned and 5 Alliance Partner Schools)
Start Date: September 2025
B2THEWORLD is a global organization dedicated to transforming education and empowering future generations. In Cameroon, our strategic objectives include serving over 3,000 children across 8 primary and secondary schools, launching new educational institutions, and strengthening existing partnerships through capacity building and operational support.
As the Project Coordinator, you will be instrumental in driving the successful implementation of our educational programs, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives, and delivering tangible results. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination, monitoring, and reporting of project activities, working closely with partner schools and the B2THEWORLD global team.
Working Conditions:
Based in Bertoua, Cameroon, with significant travel to project sites across Eastern Cameroon (estimated 70-90% travel).
Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.

The Project Coordinator acts as a key liaison between the Director of Programs, partner school leadership, and various stakeholders, ensuring project deliverables are met on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

3.1 Project Planning & Implementation:

This role is directly accountable for contributing to and ensuring the successful achievement of the following B2THEWORLD Cameroon strategic objectives:
- Serving 3,144 children in 8 Primary and secondary schools.
- Successful launch and operation of Africa International School in September 2026.
- Successful initiation of operations at Seed Bilingual School.
- Effective management of operational stimulus grants to co-owned schools to meet the scholastic needs of students and harvest desirable outcomes.
- Successful launch of Play and Lead activities in all participating schools.
- Establishment and maintenance of Alliance Partnerships with all participating schools.
- Leveraging the Steering Committee’s potential for expansion in the country.
- Effective initiation of School Leaders’ mentorship and seminars.
- Successful coordination of training for teachers, school leaders, and steering committee members.
- Successful deployment of local transformative education trainers to the participating schools for continuous teacher training.
- Effective planning and facilitation of site visits for the B2THEWORLD global team.
- Effective administration and review of M&E protocols and deployment of training sessions for B2THEWORLD team members.
- Supporting the updating and data gathering of M&E documents for country and school teams on the Survey kit, including Baseline Data Collection, Compilation, and Reporting.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to:
3.1 Project Planning & Implementation:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budget for all assigned educational initiatives, in collaboration with the Director of Programs and relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of project activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, B2THEWORLD policies, and donor requirements.
- Facilitate and monitor the provision of operational stimulus grants to co-owned schools, ensuring proper utilization and accountability.
- Lead the rollout and implementation of Play and Lead activities across all participating schools.
- Support the operational setup and launch of Africa International School and Seed Bilingual School.
- Coordinate logistics and activities related to the registration process of B2THEWORLD Cameroon and co-ownership with Charis.
- Support the Director of Programs in establishing and maintaining Alliance Partnerships with all participating schools.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the 3 initial partner schools, receiving regular reports from and providing guidance to School Heads.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between partner schools, the B2THEWORLD country office, and the global team.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and training sessions for teachers, school leaders, and steering committee members.
- Represent B2THEWORLD at relevant meetings and forums as delegated by the Director of Programs.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with all project stakeholders, including school administrators, teachers, parents, and community leaders.
- Coordinate and support the training programs for teachers, school leaders, and steering committee members.
- Oversee the training and deployment of 2 local transformative education trainers to ensure continuous teacher development in the 8 schools.
- Support the initiation and facilitation of School Leaders' mentorship programs and seminars.
- Facilitate 1 comprehensive training site visit for all school constituents, ensuring maximum participation and learning.
- Develop and implement project monitoring frameworks to track progress, identify challenges, and ensure quality delivery against project objectives.
- Conduct regular site visits to partner schools to monitor project activities, provide technical support, and gather feedback.
- Support the updating and data gathering of M&E documents, including baseline data collection, compilation, and reporting.
- Prepare timely and accurate project progress reports for the Director of Programs, the global team, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Identify and document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories from project implementation.
- Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets, ensuring efficient and accountable use of resources.
- Identify resource needs and contribute to proposal development for future funding opportunities.
- Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all project-related materials.

Required Skills and Competencies:

- Project Planning & Design: Ability to develop comprehensive project plans, including logical frameworks, work breakdown structures, and Gantt charts.
- Execution & Control: Proven ability to lead and manage project activities, monitor progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
- Risk Management: Proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks.
- Quality Assurance: Commitment to ensuring high-quality project deliverables and outcomes.
- Budget Management: Experience in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial accountability.
- Reporting & Documentation: Excellent report writing skills and meticulous documentation practices.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project, Monday.com, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of the Cameroonian education system and context.
- Experience in designing and delivering educational programs e.g character formation programs, staff enrichment and capacity building programs, community service and engagement programs etc, particularly in primary and secondary education.
- Knowledge of transformative education principles and pedagogical approaches.
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools in the development sector.
- Experience in capacity building and training adult learners.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and French (bilingualism is a strong asset). Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, from school children to senior leadership.
- Team Leadership & Motivation: Ability to inspire, guide, and motivate partner school teams and project beneficiaries.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project coordination or management, preferably within the education or NGO sector in Cameroon.
- Proven experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects.
- Demonstrated experience in training and capacity building.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation processes, including data collection and reporting.
- Fluency in English and French (oral and written) is essential.
