- Job Title: Senior Backend Developer
- Reporting to: Head of Development
- Location: Onsite (Douala - Cameroon)
Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
As a Senior Software Engineer within Sukate & Bezeboh Ltd, you will play a leading role in shaping the technological landscape of our cutting-edge payments solutions. Operating at the
intersection of innovation and reliability, you will work within a team of skilled engineers to drive the development and evolution of our software architecture. Reporting directly to the Head of
Development, you will contribute to strategic decision-making and mentorship while actively participating in hands-on coding and system design.

Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
- 3+ Years of Experience in web application development in PHP, with a strong understanding of PHP language and frameworks (e.g. Laravel, Symfony, etc)
- Acquainted with building testable code, unit tests and/or integration tests
- Knowledgeable of software design and architecture patterns
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (especially MySQL) and SQL, performance tuning and optimizations
- Experience in working with high concurrency, highly transactable, high available platforms
- Experience in migration of legacy systems
- Experience in API integrations, web services and third party libraries
- Experience with code versioning tools
- Experience Linux server administration and cloud computing
- Aware of fault-tolerance and secure programming concepts
- Experienced in some of the following concepts: message queuing, caching, NoSQL, SOA, CI/CD, application and system monitoring
- Experienced working with Scrum processes
- Experience of working with Docker, Docker Swarm, Git Workflows
- Proficiency in other front end technologies like HTML, CSS, React Js is a plus
- Fluent in English, strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to drive consensus in a multi disciplinary environment
- Critical thinking and Problem solving capabilities
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Openness to handling both legacy systems and greenfield projects
- Being resilient and Challenging the status quo
- Extreme accountability and drive for results
