Poste proposé : Backend Developer Internship (Python & Node.js) - Remote
We are excited to open applications for a Backend Developer Professional Internship, with a strong focus on Python and Javascript development. This is a free internship opportunity designed for passionate and driven individuals looking to gain practical experience in backend development within a collaborative, remote-first tech environment.
- Availability: Minimum 4+ hours/day
- Location: Remote
- Compensation: Unpaid (Free Internship)
- Language: English proficiency required; French is a plus
- Open to: recent graduates, or self-taught developers – all are welcome
Technical Skills Required
- Python (Django experience is a must)
- PostgreSQL and relational database design
- Familiarity with Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, or Realtime DB)
- Basic to intermediate Node.js experience
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Git and GitHub for version control
- Optional: Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD practices
Profile & Soft Skills
- Strong interest in backend development and real-world applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Active LinkedIn profile and basic online presence (GitHub, Twitter, or portfolio)

What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems primarily using Python (Django)
- Support existing systems and help transition from or integrate with Node.js services when needed
- Work with PostgreSQL and other Scalable databases like Minio, Casandra and MongoDB to manage data modeling and migrations
- Integrate third-party tools and services, especially Firebase and connect to external industry standard APIs
- Collaborate with the frontend team (React.js) to build full-stack features
- Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code
- Participate in stand-ups, team syncs, and code reviews
- Maintain proper documentation and follow agile development practices
- Engage with the team regularly and contribute ideas and feedback
